On our very hot Wednesday walk.  

Along a hot stretch of Honeydon road we met a fellow unloading horse manure from a trailer hitched to a small Massey Ferguson.  The rotted fertiliser will be spread on the fields in the autumn and ploughed into the earth to enrich the soil.
