I spent an hour picking strawbs and came indoors to check my phone.  There was an email from West London.  Carol had been out for a walk and returned to find her mother ( who lives upstairs from her) packing.  The smoking tower is unstable and neighbouring residents are being evacuated.  Carol doesn’t want to leave her home and is staying put.  The police know she is there and she prays that nothing terrible will happen…..the local people are suffering all around the area.
