Early morning – examine the wind and rain damage which is, thank goodness, not too bad.  Then notice all the jobs that need to be done very soon.  Such as weeding between the rows of raspberries, picking the ripening gooseberries

and tying up plants that have been battered by the storms.  It will all have to wait until after the “Wednesday walk”.
