Soaking up the sun

Yesterday a friend and her neighbour, from Channels End, came to see Jose hoping it might the missing cat of Karen’s daughter.  It wasn’t but Karen confirmed that Jose is actually a girl – henceforth called Josie – and that an almost identical cat had turned up at their house four days ago, thin and hungry and pregnant.  They will be taking it to an animal shelter because Karen’s cats and dog are not too friendly to the stray who is very pregnant!  They, like Jeremy, think that the cats have been “dumped” and we all agreee that they have been well looked after even though they are thin and hungry.  I will have to take Josie to the vet to see if she is carrying and if she is then a termination is in order and she will need to be neutered.  First I need to borrow a cat carrier and then locate a nearby vet but all of that will have to wait until after Bank Holiday Monday.  Meanwhile Josie can continue to sunbathe.
