It will be time to get out the old net curtains to protect the bounty from the rapacious pigeons.  This year we have the promise of fruits from the trees we plants three years ago – white heart cherries, nectarines (will they ripen in England?), various varieties of apples, pears and plums and maybe a few grapes from the vines.

Th cats have spent the day “resting”, snuggled up together to keep warm and dry as the rain continues to fall.
