Wasteful Wiggle, Pea brained Silkie and Bad Tempered Goose

The animals think that money (or hay) grows on trees.  They have no respect for their food and eat the best hay and pull out the bits they don’t fancy and leave them on the ground.  Wasteful creatures.  We then gather it up and put the leavings on the compost heap or in the polytunnel or in the barns as bedding.  Waste not want not…….tell that to the cows and sheep!

The gander is taking advantage of Jeremy’s absence to peck at me whenever I get too close.  I forgot my stick this morning and he managed to nip me as I was trying to give the geese a clean bucket of water.  Geese…..don’t bite the hand that feeds you!

And one of the silkies is so silly that he keeps getting out of the green polytunnel through a gap that we have yet to find.  He doesn’t want to be outside because the food is inside so he has to wait for me to come along and open the door.  Chickens don’t have very big brains!

  1. You depicted it so well, I felt i had experienced it all! Recycling has obviously not filtered down to the animal world yet!
Have a productive and enjoyable day.
Am sure jeremy is missing it all.
But it gives the mice a chance to play while the cat is away.
    Love j
