Jeremy has just decanted the sloe gin into bottles with some sugar syrup. One bottle is sweeter than the other but both are delicious. There was enough liquor left over for two glasses, one for him and one for me. I want to drink a toast, a L’chaim, to the grandson of our dear friend in London who will reach his age of maturity (his barmitzvah) this coming weekend. Although we cannot be with them we wish him and his family a wonderful weekend and hope that he will, like his parents and grandparents, make the world a better place.

Why does Jeremy look so sad? Hope he cheers up after his drink!!! xxx Henryd
