On a magnificent late autumn morning the walking group set up from the Black Horse pub in Dry Drayton (just beyond Cambridge) along beautiful footpaths surrounded by trees.

Half way into the five mile walk we stopped on the village green at Lolworth where the thoughtful Parish had provided benches and tables for anyone passing through. We sat and ate our “elevenses” with the sun shining on our faces and I took photographs of the plaques on the wall of the village hall. England at its autumn best.

If only it had been the other way around, you might’ve had a few laughs!!!
