My daily autumn/winter walk takes about 45 minutes, along Mill Road, down towards Channels End, across the field via a footpath and finally along Wilden Road to the field at the back of The Gables.  I set off in bright weather and as I walked the wind blew and the rain began to fall, lightly, and as I saw The Gables in the distance the weather calmed again and when I opened the gate the rain had stopped.
