Cape gooseberries ripen long after it seems possible.  A late autumn treat.  The clocks have gone back and by 4.30 pm the light is fading and the animals need to be put to bed.  A long evening beckons and I have the time to try out the pumpkin recipe that Jeremy sent me last week.
