The crab apple trees in the field are laden with fruits nearly the size of eating apples. It is difficult to ignore the crop even though I have a cupboard full of assorted jams. So do I have to make crab apple jelly and if I don’t will anybody know?

Are these crab apples? They look more like quince or pears.
