This afternoon I was reading a biography of Hillary Rodham Clinton published in 2014. The authors (both journalists) were fairly sure that HRC would be going for the Democratic nomination to run for President in 2016. They were correct. For some reason I went upstairs to my collection of Lvov memorabilia – concert brochures from 16 cantorial concerts that we put on to fund the Jewish School in Lvov (Lviv), Ukraine and I also took out photograph albums from our trips to Ukraine which date back to 1998. Lo and behold at the back of the first album were the following photographs of the then First Lady, HRC, visiting Lviv on her way back from a tour in Russia. Yes, she made a visit to the school run by American couple Rabbi and Sara Bald who are still living there today and still caring for so many impoverished children and their families. Although we no longer visit Ukraine since we moved to The Gables and we no longer fund raise for Lviv, our hearts and prayers are still with the community there and our hope is that HRC will remember them too when and if she becomes the first woman President of the USA.

Thank you for these amazing pictures,Gill.
Thanks for posting these, Gill. Why does 18 years at this end of the ageing spectrum completely alter ones looks? I hardly recognised HRC.
