It’s a “Gin Joint” at The Gables

The rhubarb gin disappeared with the last gathering at The Gables so Jeremy has two more demi johns “on the go” and I have to remember to shake them every day for three or four weeks until fruit and sugar has infused the gin with colour and taste.  Last week Jeremy picked sloes from the hedge behind the onion barn and now there are three bottles sitting on the shelf which will take two or three months to mature.  Roll on the dark days of winter!
