This innocent looking plant was brought to The Gables during the early summer by one of our weekend guests.  Electric daisies are supposedly edible.  Indeed if you google them you will find out that they pack quite a punch, used in cocktails, fizzing in the mouth, citrus and tangy tasting and producing quite a reaction in the saliva glands.  Having watched a youtube video of four Washington Post reporters chewing the flower I confess that I am not “game” enough to pick one off and masticate it ……but we could play a “dare you” game and if you try it, well so might I!
