Green bean chutney

2 1b of runner beans chopped very fine and boiled with 3 very large white onions diced small in salted water.  Then drained and 1 and  1/2 pounds of brown sugar and 1 and  1.4 pints of malt vinegar added and boiled for 15 minutes.  Then corflour, turmeric and mustard powder mixed with 1/4 pint of vinegar and added to the brew and boiled for another half an hour.  Then potted into sterilized jars, labelled and put on the shelf for at least a month before opening.  An old favourite recipe.
