It is nearly 3 years since we took over The Gables and, of course, we discovered new plants in every season. Daffodils a plenty in spring, hollyhocks in summer and several beautiful roses. There is a half barrel near the back door and we waited to see what would emerge. Jonquils aplenty and a strange looking plant which, this summer, has flowered for the first time. Anyone know what it is (please ignore the small geraniums at the front of the tub which we planted for some additional colour but have yet to flower)?

I’m no expert, and my sister-in-law will no doubt be able to give you a more authoritative answer, but I think that’s a Hebe.

Very pretty, I’ve not seen this pink variety before, butterflies adore the common lavender coloured one, hope you are lucky with visitors 🙂
My initial thought was a variety of Veronica. Em.
