Prep for a school trip

We are expecting thirty  seven year olds and accompanying teachers tomorrow at The Gables.  The parallel class from that school visited two months ago and now their contemporaries want to see “the farm”.  The weather has been so awful that Wellington boots must be the order of the day as the ground is soggy and muddy.  We had hoped to do some planting with the children but we shall have to see what time they arrive and what the weather decides to throw our way.  I have prepared a worksheet and quiz and a few props, such as goose eggs, goose feather quills and a jar or rhubarb jam.

  1. How about getting a selection of leaves/fruits/flower heads to identify in the form of a quiz too? Enjoy your guests.
