Always something to learn at St Neots Museum

Grandson and I took Jeremy to the St Neots Museum today.  His first visit. As we walked through the gift and book shop Jeremy found a book about Heinz Kummer  – a German POW.  There were several POW camps near St Neots and we have heard that a number of Prisoners of War worked in the barn at The Gables.   I must do some research on this and hope that The Colmworth History Society will be able to supply me with some information.  At the Museum I photographed grandson using an abacus in the reconstructed school room and I also saw one of the first domestic gas ovens which was made by a manufacturer in St. Neots.
