Sitting in London listening to Seoul!

I left The Gables in the dark and turned onto Mill Road as usual. Too late I remembered that the bridge at Chawston is closed for repairs for six weeks and so I was taken on a ten minute diversion to rejoin the road …….won’t make that mistake again for six weeks.  I arrived in London and saw daughter and grandson who were off to school and then daughter was using a friends house to sit in as she gave a live interview on TBS “Prime Time” South Korea…..the most widely listened to English language radio station broadcast in Seoul.  I sat in The Suburb and listened on my iPad to daughter being questioned by the Korean presenter and held the old fashioned telephone towards the iPad as Jeremy ( back at The Gables) listened to the broadcast down the old fashioned telephone line.  All very strange and quite a mixture of media being used to discuss the highs and lows of Peacekeeping and the rule of the UN to intervene in wars and humanitarian crises.  My head is now spinning so it’s off to do some shopping, get my hair cut and pick up mum to head back later to a corner of the world where speeding lorries gets us (and the horse riders) hot under the collar.  No place for peacekeepers in Colmworth methinks unless they undertake speed checking operations.
