Jeremy ordered six apple trees from the East of England Apple Orchard Project.  All the trees are varieties that are unlikely to be found in your local supermarket. We hope their fruits will be enjoyed by our children and grandchildren and their friends. Jeremy dug six holes for the trees the other day and just now I placed wood ash from the log burners in the pits and on Monday a bunch of schoolchildren will come to The Gables to plant the trees.
