April, a six month old Emden goose, joined us today courteousy of Sammy and Richard. She was kept warm and hatched under a broody hen and has lived with chickens in a back garden, swimming in a paddling pool.

Until today April had never seen another goose and probably thought that she was a chicken! Our gander and two geese appear to have accepted her into the flock and we are all hoping that they will go into the goose house tonight without any fighting.  Watch this space.
