The Wednesday footpath walk took us through the country park and on towards the pond. En route we were overtaken by two riders one of whom lives in the village.
Then we continued to the pond which is teeming with large golden, black and silver carp as well as hundreds of small fry – some of which may survive to adulthood.
On the road home we passed three different varieties of apple trees and tasted their fruits. The red and green apples were sweet and crispy. Perfect refreshment for the journey home.
