Why oak leaves to make kosher style pickled cucumber?
I looked up recipes for salty, kosher style American pickles and, guess what, it seems that oak leaves added to the brine and garlic will keep the cucumbers crunchy. Apparently it’s the tannin. Just 10 days until testing time……..can’t wait.

Hope American Oaks are the same as ours!! They might turn a bit leathery otherwise. Any more lambs in all this drizzle?
