My gooseberry picker ( Jeremy) has been in London for the day so I donned a pair of prickle proof gloves ( they are not!)’and picked a kilo and a half of gooseberries this afternoon. So far we have made frozen gooseberries, bottled gooseberries and gooseberry crumble and gooseberry fool. Tonight it’s time for gooseberry jam. Luckily my order of jam and pickle jars arrived today in two enormous cardboard boxes so I have plenty of containers for the abundance of fruit that is causing branches to break under their weight.

Serious produce envy going on here, all your pickles, preserves and bakes just look gorgeous, if I had done all the hard work I wouldn’t be able to stop myself admiring the sparkling jars of goodies, any chance of you bottling up some of your endless stamina?
