The jam tarts have just come out of the oven – Colmworth cherry plum jam ( from the trees in the paddock) and victoria plum jam (from our orchard) and we look forward to eating them at tea time with our expected visitors. Mum and I,much to our surprise, won raffle prizes at the Bolnhurst coffee morning on bank holiday Monday and I collected them on Friday ready to take to mum next time I visit her.
We are rushing off now to help a neighbour round up her naughty bullocks who escaped from their field and into a nearby farm. Animals can be just as much trouble as children!
