Our dear cousin Carol and her son and two of her grandsons came to visit this afternoon. Carol has followed the blog from afar and we are delighted that she came to see it in person. The jam tarts I made this morning have all disappeared and I suspect that I ate more than my fair share!

We sent them home with a pot of basil, a jar of rhubarb and ginger jam and some green tomato chutney. The children took some jam tarts for their mother and brother and sister.
