Three readers have confirmed that the larger butterfly is a peacock butterfly and the other a small tortoiseshell.  Thank you.

The last of the celery and parsnips have had to make way for the 13 rows of potatoes that we plan to plant today.  So it’s soup tonight…….parsnip, celery and leek of course.
