My niece Lucy arrived this afternoon with her friend Halah, who is travelling around the world on a Thomas J Watson Fellowship ( look it up….it’s very prestigious).

We are looking forward to supper by the fireside eating homegrown salad,barley bake and root vegetables followed by Apple crumble and cream.  No doubt we will talk cows and politics over our meal…..should be interesting.
