On a wet afternoon we drove the geese down to the banks of the pond to survey their future new home. They seemed unsettled but interested. We stayed with them for a few minutes and then drove them back to The Orchard and their familiar surroundings. We will gradually move them until they are comfortable with their new house, the pond and its banks.

You won’t be able to keep them away from the pond once they get their sea legs, they will be addicted, they also like to lay their eggs whilst they are afloat!
