We spent the afternoon filling the trailer with manure from our neighbours farm and then we brought it back to The Gables to feed the rhubarb and asparagus. I dug up two parsnips and they were enormous……..the proof that feeding the soil produces monster sized vegetables.

I seem to recall that manure and parsnips is not recommended : it causes the tap root to divide. Is that a cross legged parsnip I see?
