The new windows provide a crystal clear view of the bird feeders outside the kitchen.  A glorious sight of goldfinches, green finches,robins, great tits and occasionally woodpeckers queuing up to feed on the peanuts and the sunflower seeds.

In recent weeks Jeremy has been fighting a battle with a canny squirrel who has been biting through the bird feeder casing and eating the nuts and seeds.  No more.  The arrival of two “squirrel busters” yesterday means that the rodent can no longer expect free breakfast, lunch and dinner.  He tried both feeders and then tossed his tail in disgust and headed for the gate. Bye bye, good hunting.
