Our dear friend brought her grandchildren to visit The Gables. They picked tomatoes and found eggs in the hen house. They ate some raspberries from the autumn fruiting bushes and tasted blackberries by the pond. They even spotted a cinnabar caterpillar and photographed it as it crawled along the wooden field fence.
Their grandma ( on the left in white) brought her friend too. They left with going home presents of marrows and runner beans, jam and chutney. We hope they visit again soon and stay a bit longer.
