Rain and sun and a visit from Mum

A stormy Sunday, with rain, wind and sun in almost equal measure. Proper “weather” that had us walking in the rain in nearby St Neots, then walking down the garden in sunshine to show mum the ducks and chicks and retreating to the house to dodge the blackening skies.

After a lunch of omelettes, potato salad and New York sour cucumbers (utterly moreish) mum sat down to watch the golf on TV and I went to see Jeremy who was working in the chicken run. We walked to the soft fruit cages and I imagined the crops of raspberries, tayberries, loganberries and currants that we hope to harvest next year!

  1. I like the boots! My open clogs are rubbish in the garden and yours are just what I need. Am busy harvesting all our veg and have no idea how you manage to get in all your produce. Has been too long, see you soon, I hope! Bxx
