Two little ducks caused a lot of problems when, in spite of us having clipped their wings, they decided to fly out of the pen! Well it was Tish that flew but Bov, whose right hand wing was rather severely clipped by me in error ( sorry Bov) was unable to fly over the six foot high fence. So Jeremy and Chris spent the morning putting netting over the top of the bird pen which should also help protect them against predators.
The hens seem to have accepted the ducks without any problem and they are laying three eggs a day…..thank you girls, we will have some for supper tonight.

Don’t worry, the wings grow back but we will continue to clip the duck and hen wings to stop them “flying the coop”.
