Man plans his gardening routine and the Almighty laughs

After a full day in the garden on Monday we were called to London where my father had collapsed.  He passed away completely painlessly and peacefully in his own home with his wife of 65 wonderful years.  His great joy was to celebrate their wedding anniversary at The Gables in June surrounded by friends and family – his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  We were all truly blessed.

The garden will wait but our beautiful memories will stay with us for ever.

  2. Dear Gill I was very sorry to hear of the death of your dad. I remember that he and your mum were very kind to us that day we attended the Lvov concert. It’s never easy to deal with the death of a parent, whatever one’s time of life, and my thoughts are with you now. It must be a comfort to you that he was able to spend their wedding anniversary with you all at The Gables not very long before he died. There is a little parcel winging its way from us to you at The Gables. We hope it will make a small contribution to everything you and Jeremy are doing in your new environment to live, let live and preserve the life of creatures ! Anyway, more soon – and some pics…. Warmest to you both – and sympathy Angela
