As pigeons are to London so pheasants are to Bedfordshire. Yet, stupid as they seem proudly strutting around often followed by one or two brown hen pheasants, they always hear and see me coming and to date no clear photo to put up. The pheasant is a large bird but despite its size can rise almost vertically from the ground and do so when I am within range! But this morning Jeremy saw one on the front lawn and snapped a picture with his ipad. Thanks.

What with Pheasants and Goldfish you are now eady for the company of the huntin’ fishin’ and perhaps the shootin’ crowd!
