Sitting and waiting

Just now I saw the barn owl fly from the Ash tree beside the gate. It’s the third time I’ve spotted the owl in the last month. I get so excited when I see this haunting night bird. I’m now sitting outside hoping to film it if it returns. I can’t wait too long as I want to give “Surprise” another bottle and check her hoof

As promised the link to the radio show that featured my brother

Go to today’s show Words and Music #43 and forward to 29 mins. It’s long!

I had to rush back from the Wednesday walk to listen to a radio interview

With my brother The Fabulous MickyC

I’ll send a link to the interview later but here’s an extract from one of my favourite songs that he wrote and recorded , China

When I got home daughter had sent a link to an interview she gave to Korean TV (NOT North Korean TV!!!!!) last night about human rights and women under the Taliban. Terrifying.

It will soon be time to bottle feed the lamb and then go to Tai Chi

Afternoon walk with a mission

I didn’t have my phone with me on the Saturday afternoon walk. We came across a field which, at one end, had a purple hue. On closer inspection there were hundreds or even thousands of beautiful purple plants. I needed my “seek” app to identify them. I walked there just now and photographed the field

And took close ups of the flowers
They are alfalfa plants – and they were attracting plenty of bees
