Poor old Cummings

She has been limping around the field, twins trailing after her, for two days. We brought her into the barn last night with her lambs. This morning we upended her and Jeremy trimmed and sprayed her hooves. We will keep her in until Sunday

The lambs didn’t care that mum was lying on her back. Thru were hungry do they suckled!

A Chairman Mao badge given to us by our very dear friend and collector, Clint Twist

Clint began collecting Mao badges and other Chinese Cultural Revolution artefacts many years ago. A now retired non fiction writer he has spent the last few years adding to his extensive collection snd knowledge. A new book has just been published by a Professor of Chinese history. Her introduction begins by citing the value of Clint’s collection and I am so pleased and proud that his work and knowledge has been recognised. When children and grandchildren want to start collecting we should encourage then be it stones or stamps or (as with youngest grandson) dinosaurs!
