It’s mutual love and respect

The animals give us so much pleasure and unconditional acceptance the very least we can do is ensure they have the best conditions in which to live.

The chooks love scratching around in straw and I gave all of them fresh straw this morning

The verdict from the vet

Little Wanda has septic arthritis and will need a daily injection of antibiotics snd snigger anti inflammatory injection If this doesn’t work the future is bleak for her with no real quality of life. I’m holding my breath and hoping but the odds aren’t great.

To add insult – an injury

Poor little Wanda and poor dear Wisp

It was a difficult delivery a week after Diana and Camilla were born to Ruth. Wisp has a damaged udder and can barely produce any milk. Jeremy is milking Willow once a day and we are bottle feeding Wanda. Not the best start

Now, in addition to this problem, Wanda looks to have a broken leg. The other kids are so bouncy and boisterous I fear they damaged their little half sister by jumping on her in play
I’ve called the vet who is coming to see her today. Meanwhile we have put Wisp and Wanda in their own enclosure Click below
