Beautiful sunset

The girls love Nigel and Mabel. Who doesn’t?

The date was always going to be memorable as 13th November was dad’s birthday. He died aged 86 and would have been 96 today.

Poor in material wealth but full of friendships, many of which lasted all his life.

They made the most of every single day of their lives

Growing up in poverty, visiting the bath house once a week, with parents who never had a spare penny and needed his contributions when he began work aged 14, this was a dream for him and mum and we appreciated his love and generosity

Always at my brother’s football matches, later at his grandson’s games – we had a visit yesterday from a friend of my nephew. He said that dad was his surrogate grandpa driving him and my nephew all over London to play football and watching snd encouraging them from the sidelines. He was always there for his family and even his great grandson who remembers him with love and affection. May his memory be for a blessing💕

I light candles for those prevented from lighting. And the Red Cross – where are they and what are they doing? Nothing.
Bring them home and may all the killing and suffering stop

It tastes delicious and I could eat it straight away but the cheese maker insists on waxing and ageing it before we can truly tuck in!
