Cats cuddle up indoors on a damp day

Seem to have taken up permanent residence on the goose pond

Perhaps they enjoy the daily goose food (when the geese go walk about)!

Grandchildren carved a Gsbkes pumpkin yesterday

Does anyone have a copy of an out of print book, The Assisi Underground? If so may I beg, borrow or buy it from you as I would like to read it. Last night I skim-watched a 1987 film version of the story but it was so bad I thought that I must try to get hold of the original book. There are a few old copies available on second hand book sites but not in particularly good condition and mostly charging £25 shipping fee from the USA.

I gave a talk to a group of retired women in Radlett. They raise money for charity and also collect toiletries and new socks for the homeless that are given out weekly in central London. Sad that this is needed but that’s where it’s at these days in 21st Century Britain – apparently one of the richest countries in the world.
We had a lovely afternoon and they had lots of questions for me and I forgot to mention the bees. I hope the bees forgive me!
They gave me a present and I look forward to using it (the fragrance not the book)

On the way home I stopped outside a highly decorated Halloween house in Great Barford village – spooky in the dark
