A quick visit to see some contented cows and calves

This little one was born earlier this week

Looking at this fine and glossy herd I remember our cows, Lucy and Beattie and their offspring. We haven’t had cows since Covid lockdown when the hot weather meant that we didn’t have enough grass to feed them. Nevermind. I’m sure that I can visit the local cows and calves and one of them, Parsley (who we called Bella) was born at The Gables and is now expecting her 3rd or maybe 4th calf. She’s a lovely animal.

I am stupidly scrolling through LinkedIn posts during my break and horrified anew at the level

Of hatred and violence being poured over and directed at Jews (yes my bloodline is Jewish – Cohanim through both my mother and my father) in every country in the world. I have lived through a golden age and I am trying to enjoy every blessed day on this earth but as I have described in certain chapters of my book, “Jews Milk Goats”, my people are always subject to sudden changes which leads to disruption , destruction and expulsion. Are 16 million Jews worldwide such a threat to more than 7 BILLION? Here we go again.
