Sitting under the pergola I spied the first ripe blackcurrants
Wake up goats and have a good morning scratch
New potatoes and peas from the polytunnel
On our walk late this afternoon we were thrilled to see, in the distance, a white bird flying close to the hedge. I thought it was a barn owl. Then, flying toward us near another field hedge, a second barn owl with its distinctive wide wings and short body. Nearer to home a swan flew overhead and amongst the growing wheat the sight snd sound of skylarks and corn buntings. What a joy.
