Quite a common sight. Plucky crows and the red kites always try to escape the much smaller bird. Strange.

Red kites were nearly extinct in the UK and a reintroduction programme, that began in 1989, has been so successful that we see red kites every where and in greater and greater numbers.











The winter flowering heather brings a touch of colour to the overcast day and a rose survives, swaying in the frigid wind

And there are a few red berries on the bush out front. Fodder for the birds
