








I went out to pick up some windfall Bramleys. I saw a flash of green followed by some grey pigeons. Quietly I followed the green bird that had landed on a patch of soil where potatoes had been dug up. I spotted it and crept closer. Click below








Quince jelly. It worked so now I’ve just picked some more fruits (plus some conference pears blown off the trees in the wind yesterday). I’ll eat the pears with cheese at lunchtime.

From a family wedding in Liverpool. My first time there and we took the opportunity to walk down to the docks and admire the new buildings and the old. It was very windy and when I got home I found, to my dismay, that several of my cosmos plants had been uprooted by the storm. No use crying – some are still standing
