A day of sun and rain, walks and unexpected gifts and sadness too

Wednesday walk on a cold, bright, breezy morning
A lone strawberry (I didn’t share, just popped it into my mouth)
A barrow load of plants and bulbs brought home by Jeremy just now
A follow up visit from the vet and a decision to end Gitty’s suffering
Her lungs were still “rattling”, she still had a raised temperature, she could barely put her swollen front leg on the ground and she was unable to walk more than a metre outside the barn (inside of which
she sat almost all the time).

We could have put her on more courses of injections but she couldn’t live like that indefinitely and there was no quality of life. No playing with the other lambs just a lot of sleeping.

Where Gitty sat and slept most of the time. I held Gitty and stroked her as she received her final injection. Rest in peace little lamb.
