Suddenly it’s all about pickling (and butterflies)
A glut of courgettes yesterday so why not make a sort of piccalilli with courgettes and shallots?
And as the cherry tomatoes ripen outside and in the greenhouse….A sweet and sour jar of picked tomatoes Greengages picked this morning, washed and scored Packed into a kilner jar and rough salt added Topped with boiled water and then (as with the tomatoes) into the fridge for a week. I wonder if I’ll like the taste?Outside Large White butterflies (aka cabbage whites) flit from flower to flower
