We took a slow and short Wednesday walk around the Colmworth Country Park

Then we sat in the shade and talked about the riots in Southport, the killings in Bangladesh, the rigged election in Venezuela and the state of so called “democracy” around the world.

Then we walked back to our cars and acknowledged our good fortune to be surrounded by and comforted by nature. It could be a glorious and more equitable world – but I don’t believe our leaders (even those with good snd not self-serving intentions) can make this happen. Age has made me a grumpy, old cynic!
