And I don’t know how people manage to commute into and around London. Will explain later. Missing the lambs and the peace and quiet.

I commuted 25 years from New Jersey to NYC on trains, subway and on foot once I got to Manhattan. It took me approximately 1 1/4 hours each way when transit was running smoothly. It takes an immense toll on your body, mind, and soul. I was on a 5:30 a.m. train every day in the morning and got home usually around 7 p.m. It drains you mind, your body and your soul. And that was many years ago ! Today it is incredibly worse due to the prominence of cellphones, the prevalence of viruses, and the deterioration of human behavior. My most memorable moment was when some bozo spilled an entire can of beer on me as he was standing in the aisle next to me. March 8, 1996, was my last day commuting and I haven’t missed a second of it. Sorry for the diatribe but this subject brings bad such bad memories.
