The lamb was wet from the rain and I brought him inside with Poddy following. I made a pen from straw bales and brought Poddy a bucket of water, some sheep concentrates and she has a feeder full of hay. Poddy is not, right now, as interested in her lamb as she should be. Although the lamb is able to stand when he tries to feed Poddy walks away. We might have to milk off some of Poddys colostrum later and feed it to the lamb from a bottle until it is strong enough to feed from its mother (Poddy permitting)

Meanwhile on the other side of the barn I found one of Cummings very big lambs with it’s foit caught in the hay feeder. I released him but the right front leg is hanging limp and useless. I will probably have to call in the vet. Dramas on another very wet morning
